Wild Wind Construction

You know experience has to be the foundation of an outstanding project of this undertaking, 8000’ of radiant heat tubing, 3800 sq’ of driveway pavers with a personalized heart shaped flower design!

Greg Sivak, owner of Wild Wind Construction is no stranger to one of a kind projects.  Since 1989, his love of the outdoors and hard work were the catalyst for his masonry, decorative concrete and stone business.  His entrepreneurial resolve was the perfect fit for tackling other unique jobs.  Throughout the 90’s he built 10 car washes in the Pa and NY regions using his masonry and carpentry skills. Predominantly self- taught, he appreciates the different techniques and styles of others who have helped in forming his own approaches and savvy for his business. A well- remembered mason, John California was the first to take him under his wing to give him the basic building blocks necessary to learn the trade.

When asked about this particular project he defers to the brilliant mind of homeowner Jeff Lockett, who he has worked for on numerous jobs.  “Jeff does the research, thinking and designing, we take on the hard work and challenges”.  Putting in 8000’ of radiant heat tubing and computer controlled sections for melting snow would be a daunting challenge for anyone. The 3800 sq’ of Cambridge pavers using Sandstone Ledgestone 3 piece design kit and Circle Design Kit with Ruby Onyx 4 ½ x 6 for borders and personal design  carries the theme of their modern day “turn of the century” Victorian home… hearts and flowers.  It has now blossomed to make this driveway part of the “stand alone” landscape that causes people to slow down and admire the intricate details and beauty as intended.

Herein lies the strength of Wild Wind Construction.  His crew of three or four keeps it small and personal. One of his skilled laborers, Justin Kell, has been with him for 15 years and counting.  They pride themselves on trying “the impossible” with quality and customer service in the forefront.  When asked where he sees his company going he quickly acknowledges his sons, Sage and Stone and all that they have learned through the years working side by side on countless projects. They are just as excited as I was at their age to keep the business thriving and growing…not to mention what a great asset they are for my motivation.

The staff at the Stone & Outdoor Living Center are pleased to feature Wild Wind Construction as our August Project of the Month.
